New Acres Added to Big Swan Headwaters Preserve!
In summer 2007, Swan Trust closed on two properties, adding about 92 acres to  Big Swan Headwaters Preserve. The first was the 17-acre Boiling Springs purchase, described in the paragraph above. The second was a parcel from a large tract owned by Paradise Plantations. This piece contains an undeveloped road connecting Walker Road with the Preserve and giving Swan Trust beneficial access.

The purchase was made possible with assistance from Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation as well as Swan Trust supporters providing low-interest bridge loans.

In partnership with Swan Trust, about fifty acres of the total were purchased by John and Mindy Anderson of Nashville, TN, and Will Bates of Summertown, TN.

The remaining 1700 acres of the original property is for sale, available in tracts of 150 acres or more. If you are interested in owning land near the Preserve, please contact us: foreverwild@swantust.org
